Understanding Our Camp Support Ratios

1:1 Support Ratio:

Guests registered at a 1:1 support ratio are provided with one dedicated staff member who supports them from morning until bedtime for the duration of their stay. This allows for individualized care, supervision, and support throughout the entire day.

2:1 Support Ratio:

Guests registered at a 2:1 support ratio are supported in a pair, with one staff member assigned to two guests from morning until bedtime for the duration of their stay. This ratio allows for close supervision while encouraging shared activities and peer interaction.

3:1 Support Ratio:

Guests registered at a 3:1 support ratio are placed in a small group of three, supported by one staff member from morning until bedtime for the duration of their stay. Grouping is done thoughtfully to support positive social experiences while still providing individualized attention.

4:1 Support Ratio:

Guests registered at a 4:1 support ratio are supported in a group of four, with one staff member assigned to the group from morning until bedtime for the duration of their stay. This ratio promotes independence, social engagement, and participation in group programming, while ensuring appropriate supervision.

5:1 Support Ratio:

Guests registered at a 5:1 support ratio are supported in groups of up to five, with one staff member assigned to the group from morning until bedtime for the duration of their stay. Groups are formed to the best of our ability based on factors such as age, gender, interests, and compatibility, to create a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable camp experience for everyone.

8:1 Support Ratio:

Guests registered at an 8:1 support ratio are supported in a group of up to eight, with one staff member assigned to the group. This ratio is designed for more independent campers who require minimal staff supervision and are able to participate safely in group activities. The 8:1 ratio encourages independence, social interaction, and the development of life skills within a structured and supportive camp environment.
